Who doesn’t love having a warm body even when it’s freezing, when you’re skiing or doing other winter activities in the mountains? The new HeatLoop Longsleeve Shirt by X-Bionic is a solution for skiers and all other sports people looking for an exceptionally warm functional base layer. At their jury meeting at the end of October, the ISPO Award jury took a close look at the shirt and decided it was worth the ISPO Award 2024.
X-Bionic’s HeatLoop Longsleeve Shirt is a thermal base layer inspired by nature to enhance thermoregulation and boost performance. Featuring a Hygrodiffusor yarn blend of hydrophilic and hydrophobic fibers, it efficiently wicks moisture away, enhancing sweat management and warmth. The patent pending HeatLoop Technology, mimicking polar bear fur, traps warmth. The integrated air channels use convection, similar to termite mounds, to evenly distribute heat, maintaining your ideal body temperature in any condition.
“Our goal was to create the warmest base layer on the market using breakthrough technology inspired by nature. We asked ourselves how we could elevate thermoregulation with cutting-edge advancements. By studying the warmth-retention abilities of polar bears and the efficient heat distribution of termite mounds, we developed HeatLoop–a revolutionary solution designed to optimize performance and keep you warm in any environment,” the X-Bionic team states.
After weighing up all the advantages, the ISPO Award jury decided to award the ISPO Award 2024 to the X-Bionic HeatLoop Longsleeve Shirt. It’s available from September 2025.
