Precise fit and performance is at the heart of the HEAD Kaliber 130 MV GW BOA2 ski boot: it features a double BOA system as well as a new bi-inject construction in a 100 mm last and 130 flex.

When it comes to ski boots, precision and comfort are non-negotiable, especially in the performance category. This new HEAD Kaliber 130 MV GW BOA2 ski boot sets a new benchmark for precision. Every design decision was made to optimize both fit and performance. This boot features an exclusive BOA shell construction, an all new last, geometry andliner.

So instead of applying BOA to an existing ski boot design, Head fully integrated the BOA system into the cuff and lower boot of the Kaliber ski boot, unlocking its potential. Starting with the precision fastening technology, the brand engineered an extraordinary ski boot around it.

BOA-specific design

Thought-out to deliver micro-adjustable precision, consistent closure, and reliable support, this boot design ensures skiers can focus on the slopes, not their gear. The new BOA cuff auto adapts to the skier’s calf shape as the fit system tightens. The cable can move freely along, allowing for the upper and lower cuff to adapt to the calf shape automatically and independently. The BOA cuff also self-balances and can be adjusted from a single contact point, while a traditional buckle cuff must be manually adjusted at two distinct points.

New bi-injection construction and performance last

The boot also features a new bi-injection construction: The stiff frame’s high back profile provides strength and allows the use of softer plastic in the forefoot areas. Together with an extended overlap shell, it provides an even footwrap down to the toe, molding to your foot and maximizing BOA functionality. The dual BOA integration is also available in a 110 flex and a 105 women’s version. The ISPO Award jury was really impressed by the execution of this boot and the great fit achieved with the double BOA construction.

A new 100 mm performance last was shaped for Kaliber, with more toe space and a new heel and ankle shape and cuff. This new fit is closer around the leg and achieves precise control. The new Synapse Pro liner is thinner and more anatomical. A dual-density tongue provides great precision and impulse transmission, while integrated liquid fit technology allows precise fit customization. It has graphene woven in, which is a revolution in temperature regulation: it will keep you warm or cool, as needed, depending on the conditions on the slopes. It also counteracts bacterial reproduction, is anti-static, and resistant to wear and washing.

Here’s what the jury had to say about the HEAD Kaliber 130 MV GW BOA2 ski boot:

“This ski boot offers a great advancement in terms of BOA integration, including the separate dial in the cuff. In addition, the shell construction as well as improvements in liner and shape offer a great solution for a precise fit out of the box.
