Especially in sports shoes, comfort and stabilization of the foot play a special role. To ensure both, insoles can be an optimal solution. CURREX from Hamburg has been one of the absolute specialists in the field of insoles for sports shoes for many years. The company has now taken the next step and developed an AI-based online solution to individualize sports shoes through insoles, increasing comfort and minimizing the risk of injury.
The new type of online purchasing advice is made possible by the digital AI-based CURREX InsoleFinder. With it, customers can easily configure the perfectly fitting 3D insole for their foot shape and shoe type when buying shoes online. For example, an AI technology measures the inner arch of the foot via photo and then determines the desired shape of the insole. Last year, the CURREX team examined more than 10,000 feet and developed a unique artificial intelligence, trained by sports scientists. The digital experience with the online tool is designed to be intuitive and user-friendly. The InsoleFinder simply works via the browser of any device. By the way, an app download is not required.
The InsoleFinder is aimed at both end consumers directly and specialist retailers. The software application can be quickly and seamlessly integrated into any online store. Sports retailers can thus easily improve the shopping experience for customers. The application has been thought through down to the smallest detail and is uncomplicated to use. "The end customer benefits from a convenient and time-saving analysis that can be done at any time and from anywhere. With target group-oriented placement in the online store, retailers can now differentiate themselves in each of their sales channels with unique, individual advice and thus optimize their cross-selling potential," says Regina Eitelhuber, Product Owner CURREX AI Cloud.
According to CURREX, the digital solution also has a sustainable aspect. Optimal online advice increases comfort in the shoe, thereby significantly minimizing the risk of returns. This reduces the CO₂ footprint.
The ISPO Award jury confirmed the InsoleFinder's high utility value for athletes and honored the innovation with an award. "The award means a lot to us. It confirms to us that we are on the right track to help people exercise healthily in the long term. Now we can also make this possible online. The award is recognition for this forward-looking development," CEO Björn Gustafsson is pleased to say on behalf of the entire CURREX team.
Former professional triathlete and sports scientist Björn Gustafsson founded CURREX in 2000 with a clear vision: to help people move healthily throughout their lives. The company develops professional motion analysis systems and dynamic insoles for more than 10 types of sports - from running, hiking and soccer to cycling and tennis. "Professional athletes like Frederic Funk, David Schönherr or Nils Görke, as well as the active CURREX community, provide important impulses for product developments. CURREX always focuses on the target group. Athletes and exercise enthusiasts", is how Regina Eitelhuber describes the company's development approach. CURREX is sold in more than 50 countries worldwide. In Germany and Austria alone, the insoles can be found at more than 500 retailers.
