Gore-Tex has recently designed running jackets and running shoes especially for City Runners. The brand is now taking this expanded product range as an opportunity to expand its commitment to popular sports and to cooperate with the German B2Run Company Run Championship. This year she will present the winning categories "Fastest Woman" and "Fastest Man". The first prize will be a Gore-Tex Shakedry jacket from Gore Wear.
"With Gore-Tex we have found a partner who fits perfectly to our running series. I am pleased that our participants can now also benefit from Gore-Tex running products," says Lars Gerling, Managing Director of Infront B2Run GmbH.
Since 2004, the company, a subsidiary of the international sports marketing company Infront, has been organizing company runs. Since then, the number of participants has grown steadily: in 2018, the organiser expects 195,000 employees from 9,500 companies to take part. This makes B2Run the fastest growing and largest running series in Germany. This year the series starts on April 26th in Aachen.
Headquartered in the United States with annual sales in excess of 3 billion dollars, Gore employs over 10,000 people and has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, Japan and China. Gore started operations in Europe just a few years after the company was founded in 1958.
The company's product portfolio ranges from waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex and other sophisticated functional textiles to medical implants and components for use in industry and in aerospace electronics. The company is one of only a few companies that have been repeatedly voted among America's 100 best employers (100 best companies to work for) since 1984. In the future Gore wants to focus more on environmentally friendly design of its product range.
