Sometimes less is more: the filling weight of the TERREX Xperior Primaloft Loose Fill Jacket (size M) is just 130 grams. It is concealed under an equally lightweight but extremely hard-wearing outer material made from woven mini ripstop. Together, the DWR finish and insulation ensure good heat retention. The TERREX Xperior Primaloft Loose Fill Jacket from adidas is made from at least 70 percent recycled content. This stylish quilted jacket cuts just as good a figure when hiking as it does for numerous other outdoor activities.
The combination of synthetic mono-material and goose down filling makes the PFC-free 3L jacket extremely comfortable to wear. But when the going gets tough, it offers reliable protection against water and wind, and is also breathable and heat-regulating. And at the end of its product life? A simple cut is enough to separate the materials. The next cycle then begins as used nylon and used goose down. Oh yes, the jacket from Chinese down specialist Bosideng with its urban look is of course also chic!
29 ISPO Awards testify to BLACKYAK's quality and innovative strength - and this time, the mountaineering professionals have once again scooped an award. Their Thulagi GTX 3L Pro Shell Bib Pant scores points with its breathable Gore-Tex Pro 70D 3-layer fabric, which not only guarantees durability, but also wind protection and waterproofness. In addition to the robust design, numerous well thought-out details such as inner mesh pockets on the bib for secure storage and harness-compatible side pockets with a leash for avalanche transceivers are impressive. In emergency situations, a Recco reflector helps with search and rescue operations.
The way up? More pleasant with ten percent more range of motion. The way down? Downhill-oriented thanks to 1.5 degrees more angle of attack. Tecnica has improved both the ascent and descent performance of the Zero G Tour Pro compared to the previous model. At the same time, the weight of the ski touring boot has been reduced by 100 grams. In addition, an improved fit, particularly in the toe and instep area, ensures greater comfort. And even if you leave large footprints in the snow when ski touring: The boot's CO2 footprint is very small thanks to environmentally friendly materials and a simplified material structure.
Avalanche backpacks are real lifesavers in deep snow, but they are also expensive and difficult to maintain. Now Arva is introducing a model especially for rental and second-hand use. The MINI15+ is made from durable and abrasion-resistant materials that are recycled, bluesign® certified and spun-dyed. 100 percent recycled P600D as the main material as well as the thermoformed back section and the Cordura stretch material on the shoulder straps promise durability. The MINI15+ is equally suitable for children and adults - also thanks to the refillable REACTOR 2.0 cartridge system, which weighs just 2.1 kilos.
Its orange exterior makes the parka a real eye-catcher, while its interior - together with the outer material with HELLY TECH® Protection - provides professional-level protection from the elements. After all, the jacket is inspired by Helly Hansen's Arctic Patrol collection. The Hansen H2Flow™ construction ensures top air circulation and heat distribution. Strategically placed insulation, zippered vents and a detachable hood further enhance comfort. The environmental friendliness of the Escape Down H2Flow™ is ensured by PrimaLoft® Black Eco, among other things.
What could be better for freeriders than floating almost weightlessly through deep powder? With its large contact surface, the light and playful Surfeur 112 from Ferreol is perfect for this. But the ski also works well in other conditions. But it's not just their versatility that makes the powder slats sustainable: the Canadians use flax fibers instead of fiberglass and carbon to reinforce their skis, and the wood for the core comes from local and sustainable sources. The use of renewable energy in production further underlines the environmental friendliness of the Surfeur 112.
The large honeycombs of the Trilogy Jorasses Dyneema Down Hoodie immediately catch the eye. More importantly, however, this baffle structure ensures improved down distribution and thus reduces cold spots. A 1000 FP goose down insulation with ExpeDRY treatment makes the filling water-repellent and increases the drying speed. At the same time, it reduces the environmental impact. Last but not least, the Dyneema outer material with water-repellent treatment, a helmet-compatible hood and elasticated inner pockets make the Trilogy Jorasses Dyneema Down Hoodie a reliable and durable companion on demanding expeditions.
Functional underwear may not always be in the spotlight when freeriding or touring, but it is something of an unsung hero when powder skiing. After all, the first layer can make all the difference when it comes to warmth and comfort. The lightweight Thermovent short pants from Ortovox come with an optimum weight-to-insulation ratio and intelligent 3D body mapping. A breathable and stretchy mesh structure on the thighs ensures ideal ventilation and moisture regulation, while the reinforcement on the knees keeps your joints warm. Thanks to their length, these pants made from sustainable merino wool can be easily combined with ski boots and socks.
With the Ridge Pro, switching from ascent to descent is just a hand movement away. This is made possible by the patented Hoji Lock, which fully interlocks the shaft and shell, leaving no play whatsoever. Another highlight is the Floating Tongue. Unlike conventional tongue constructions, it consists of an outer tongue, which provides stability when skiing, and a soft tongue inside the shell. This enables comfortable and smooth movement. Despite its feather-light design, the Ridge Pro has a progressive flex. And: it is made from recyclable material.
