The worldwide Wings for Life World Run is scheduled. The starting signal for the global charity run will be given on May 6, 2018 at 1 pm (CEST). In Germany, the open race for everyone will once again stop in Munich.
Registration on the official homepage www.wingsforlifeworldrun.com started on 10 October.
The Wings for Life World Run has been taking place simultaneously at numerous locations around the world since 2014. All participants run as far as possible before they are caught up by a moving finish line, the "Catcher Cars".
The previous distance record is held by the Swede Aron Anderson, who was overtaken by the Catcher Car at the Wings for Life World Run 2017 in Dubai after 92.14 kilometres.
In the four events so far, the more than 435,000 participants from 193 countries have run over 4.2 million kilometres in more than 58 countries. 100 percent of the start-up money and donations go to the Wings for Life Foundation, which supports spinal cord research to find a cure for paraplegia.
