This warming ski jacket is made from recycled polyester fabric and filled with recycled down. Features include integrated Air Pass technology for better ventilation and an anti-fall backpack on the back to protect the spine.
Abrasion resistant, antistatic, breathable, waterproof and windproof, this jacket contains a high percentage of recycled materials. For example, the bi-stretch shell is 82 percent recycled polyester and 18 percent spandex. The fabric membrane is an innovative water-based microporous PU film that provides excellent breathability while maintaining adequate waterproofing. The fabric achieves a waterproofness and moisture permeability of 15K/8K and has a cold resistance of -30 °C.
Tanboer also uses recycled materials for the filling. The jacket is insulated with recycled down from used down jackets. Professional cleaning and treatment processes remove impurities and odours from the down, so that it once again achieves a quality and thermal insulation performance that is very close to that of new down. In this way, Tanboer not only wants to reduce waste, but also dependence on new animal down, and thus contribute to animal welfare.
The waterproof outer fabric also ensures that the down is protected from moisture and does not lose its thermal performance.
The inside of the jacket features innovative Air Pass technology. Every five centimeters, there is a 0.2 millimeter ventilation hole that allows air to circulate better and prevents heat buildup. There is also an anti-fall backpack on the back to protect the spine in the event of a fall.
As well as using recycled materials, Tanboer also dismantles and recycles old clothing to supply fabric and down suppliers. These suppliers then carry out a secondary processing cycle to make them available to Tanboer, which uses them to make new products.
The jacket was designed for men and will be launched in March 2025.
