Textile and Trim Collaboration push Ingredient brands to the forefront

An all-Italian partnership between Eurojersey manufacturer of Sensitive Fabrics and Framis Italia, a market leader in the application of polyurethane heat bonded applications for the apparel industry and a previous awardee at ISPO Textrends, confirms Italy’s leadership in technological innovation applied to textiles.

Brand developers and designers know only too well the ups and downs of teaming two newly found ingredients when sourcing products and components. Sampling can take time as finding the right partnership especially between fabrics and the growing interest in taping technology grows. This new collaboration, speeds up the process, confirming and highlighting the benefits of both products and the synergetic appeal they have.

Sensitive Fabrics are renowned for their excellent technical and aesthetic properties, developed by Eurojersey, continuously committed to on-going research. Sensitive Fabrics are renowned as a high level base in intimate apparel, swimwear and activewear with the inherent benefits of sunblock, quick drying, moisture management and perfect surfaces.

Due to the construction of the innovative warp knit, free cut technology is possible, eliminating the need to top-stitching or edge-stitching, delivering a clean finish that doesn’t curl. A super comfortable fit and smooth finish, due to an ultra flat surface, resistant to frequent washing and has an embedded elastic memory, providing the perfect fabric ground for the most innovative manufacturing technologies including digital printing, later cut out and taping.

With the NoSo Bonding Technology by Framis Italia, the heat bonded tapes are applied directly onto the flat surface of Sensitive Fabrics and support the muscles of the body while facilitating its movements. Without restriction, they conform naturally to the body, shaping the silhouette with just the right amount of support and a calibrated compression.

The special NoSo Bonding Technology project by Framis Italia, which designs and develops both heat-bonded adhesive film and the machines used to apply it, is the only guaranteed and integrated system for heat bonded joints, welds and applications without any need for stitching, offering a practical and tangible solution from product design to production. The interest in this new technology is key for enhanced comfort, reduced chaffing and a more efficient approach to garment production.

The partnership between Eurojersey and Framis has produced two iconic garments, specifically designed for the sportswear industry and made up without stitching, thanks to the NoSo technology with ultrasound joints reinforced with Portofino tapes and heat welding with two sided adhesive tapes.

The black and blue bodysuit is made with heat bonded taping, combined with high-performing Sensitive Sculpt fabric, is not only totally innovative but also reduces muscle recovery times during training sessions. Another important factor for a complete sports activity is the visibility guaranteed by Reflective Silver reflective tape from Framis Italia. Note the front panel ventilation, due to the perfectly flat fabric construction, laser punched ventilation has been applied, offering a functional element as well as a decorative detail.

Leggings and a sports top has been developed incorporating Sensitive Sculpt Fabric, completely manufactured with no sewing, solely using the NoSo technique and tape. This new development on the garment manufacturing front highlights that taping is no longer just as an added detail for specific finishing within a cut-and-sew garment, but can also be used in complete garment construction that delivers a new level of comfort, especially in the sportswear sector.
