The European Outdoor Summit will not take place this year due to the Corona Pandemic. Instead, the meeting of the outdoor industry will take place in Annecy in 2021.

The industry had the opportunity to discuss and network at the European Outdoor Summit 2019.
At the European Outdoor Summit the industry can meet, discuss and network.

The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has taken the decision to postpone the European Outdoor Summit (EOS) until 2021. The summit will take place in autumn 2021 in Annecy, France. Currently the EOG is looking for a suitable date, which will be announced shortly. Originally, the EOS 2020 should have taken place in Annecy on 15 and 16 October 2020.

The decision is the result of consultations with Outdoor Sports Valley (OSV), the EOS partners for 2020, and the board of directors of the EOG. Given the impact that COVID-19 has on the outdoor industry, the different stages of development of the virus in different European countries and the general uncertainty, the EOG believes that the best decision would be to postpone the event.

Arne Strate: Looking forward to EOS in Annecy 2021

Arne Strate, Secretary General of the EOG, said: “The EOS is a key event for senior executives and future leaders in our industry, delivering inspirational speakers as well as invaluable opportunities to network with colleagues. We want to ensure that we deliver the best event possible, to benefit the industry and provide insights into key topics. Unfortunately, this Autumn is not the right time and our members, delegates and sponsors need to concentrate on their businesses and families for the time being. We acknowledge that. We will continue to work on all aspects of the event so that we can meet up again in 2021 to debate, share knowledge and experiences and to work together to continue to re-build and re-shape our industry as well as spend valuable time networking with each other.”

We would like to take the opportunity to thank our partners, sponsors, delegates and all the members for their continued support, and I look forward to welcoming you all in Annecy in 2021", Strate said.
