Fabio Wibmer is best known for his daredevil YouTube clips on the bike. The Austrian is a mountain bike pro and rides disciplines such as downhill and bike trial. Not only with his videos Fabio Wibmer convinces many fans, but also in several mountain bike competitions he could already celebrate successes. He is a member of Danny MacAskill's "Drop and Roll Tour" and won the "GoPro of the World-Best Line Contest 2015". He also achieved some victories on the downhill bike, for example he won the Austrian "Whip-Off Contest" in 2015. The following year he became Austrian Downhill State Champion, was winner of the Innsbruck Downhill Cup and was first place in the Whip Off Contest of the Dirt Masters Festival in Winterberg in 2016 and 2017. In 2015 he also received the German WebVideo Award in the category "Best Sport Video Award".
Wibmer likes to take on new challenges, going far beyond his previous limits. In 2016, for example, Wibmer pulled off two daring stunts. First, he ventured into the project of riding his bike over the Kölnbreinsperre dam in Austria, which is one of the highest dams in all of Europe. The spectators were speechless when he rode a line on the narrow railings of the dam, which are 200 meters above the ground. In the same year, also in Saalbach, he demonstrated his incredible creativity and skill in a downhill race on an old ladies' bike.
In his childhood, Wibmer had already been racing motocross for twelve years until he saw a YouTube video of Danny MacAskill, a Scottish trial superstar, in 2009 and thus discovered his fascination for bike trial sports. In fact, he started riding his own trials bike in 2010 and was invited to the Red Bull Wings Academy in Munich when he was 16, in 2012. That's how his role model Danny MacAskill discovered him there Since 2014, Wibmer has been a member of the "Drop and Roll" team founded by Danny and tours worldwide with his bike trial team mates for shows. In mid-2017 Wibmer became a Red Bull athlete and since 2020 he is an official partner of the bike brand Canyon Bicycles. Together with Elias Schwärzler, an Austrian downhill rider, he launched his own sportswear brand called "Sick Series".
