The application phase for ISPO Brandnew 2020 is open: The world's largest and oldest international platform for start-ups in the sports business has been honoring innovative young companies and their products since 2000.
Any company wishing to win one of the 50 coveted support packages with a total value of 400,000 euros can apply online free of charge until 11 October 2019. All brands from the sports business that are not older than four years at the time of ISPO Munich 2020 and were not yet listed as ISPO Munich exhibitors can participate.
From useful apps to new sports equipment: Young sports entrepreneurs can submit physical products to ISPO Brandnew as well as digital services that facilitate access to sport, support or enhance the active sports experience - for the individual or the community. An independent jury of experts selects the winners from all submissions. It consists of successful entrepreneurs and former participants of ISPO Brandnew. Up to 50 companies win an extensive support package worth up to 25,000 euros each.
The support package associated with a win at ISPO Brandnew includes a booth in the Brandnew Village of ISPO Munich 2020 and exclusive access to the global ISPO network with all services - from access to the Open Innovation Community for crowdsourcing and market research projects to preparation programmes for market entry in China and accompanying reporting on ISPO's own media channels.
Also new is the Networking Night. Here the start-ups will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with investors, partners and former winners in person. "It is precisely the exchange and the opportunity to make contacts worldwide that opens many doors for the ISPO Brandnew winners," says David Badalec, responsible for ISPO Brandnew.
The jury will select the winners at the end of October 2019. Unlike in previous years, the application is not categorised. At the beginning of November, the applicants will be informed about the results, and the prize winners will then start directly with the ISPO Brandnew team into the trade fair planning for ISPO Munich 2020.
At the public pitch during the event, all winners will once again appear live before the jury and fight for the title of Overall Winner.
