Allianz will own the naming rights from July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2023. International media outlets report that the naming rights to the 41,500 seater stadium will cost the insurance company EUR 3 million each year.
The sports venue, currently known as “Juventus Stadium”, will be the seventh stadium in the Allianz family.
“It’s with great pleasure that we welcome Allianz as special partners to give our home ground a new name”, said Giorgio Ricci, Co-Chief Revenue Officer and Head of Global Partnerships and Corporate Revenues at Juventus.
“The fact that global insurance giant Allianz has joined us underlines the status of Juventus as a top international team. Since the inauguration of our arena in 2011 we have been making sports history, and the stadium has played an important role in that as the place where we have celebrated the championship six times.”
Sergio Balbinot, Member of the Board of Allianz SE, stated: “We are extremely satisfied with this agreement, because in the world of football, this unique stadium belongs amongst the great classics of sporting venues.”
“Here Juventus FC, a team that can look back on a long line of extraordinary successes, plays against all great teams within Italy and beyond, who bring their fans from all over the world. And with more than 86 million customers, Allianz is one of the biggest names in insurance and asset management worldwide. The Allianz Stadium in Turin is an obvious choice for bringing the Allianz brand together with a place which produces first-class sporting achievements.
