OutDoor 2025: All Participation Options Are Now Available

Munich, 31 OCTOBER 2024. The new concept of OutDoor 2025 was developed in close collaboration with international industry and trade representatives to address the changing needs of the outdoor industry in the wake of the pandemic. The focus is on new and flexible participation options that enable brands to showcase their products, innovations and brand messages in an accurately targeted and custom-tailored way. All participation options can now be booked online. Under the motto “From Buying to Selling”, OutDoor from 19 to 21 May 2025 will not only enable visitors to expand their own business potential, but will also offer all stakeholders in the outdoor industry a platform for exchange and inspiration along the entire value chain. Interested individuals who already schedule an appointment at ISPO Munich 2024 will receive a free ISPO Munich ticket. In addition, the new concept will be presented in a webinar on 14 November.

The outdoor industry’s response to the new concept has been consistently positive. “It is of great importance to our business, to the strength and cohesion of the entire industry to have OutDoor as a European platform and to actively support it. This is where the market meets to discuss products and strategies. It is an efficient way to meet with the brands for three days in one place to foster and further develop relationships. At the Yonderland Group we encourage all brands to exhibit”, says Yonderland’s CEO Frederic Hufkens. OutDoor 2025 will be very different from the well-known trade fair concept of the previous event. The central components are the three new hall concepts: Village, Freestyle and New Spaces.

Village concept: classic and modern combined

The Village concept is a central element of the new hall layout. It is based on a classic layout in which companies can present themselves with their own stand construction, but it is supplemented by modern and innovative elements. The asymmetrical arrangement of the stands and walkways, as well as the integration of “city walls” and “marketplaces”, are designed to create an emotional and inspiring atmosphere for exhibitors and visitors. The newly designed environment allows for more premium placements to put brands and their products at the centre of attention. Meeting rooms are located around the “city wall” along the walls of the hall, thus facilitating meetings with customers in close proximity to the exhibition areas. For the first time, these can also be booked by retailers as a place of representation during the trade fair.

The Freestyle concept: Space for innovations

The Freestyle concept is another new feature of OutDoor 2025. This area features compactly arranged, projecting stands aligned along curated walkways through the Freestyle hall. This layout enables exhibitors to showcase individual products, collection highlights or even product categories in a way that is both brand-appropriate and accurately focused. The predetermined route, combined with a focus on key collection pieces and new arrivals, gives brands the freedom to creatively showcase their innovations. Visitors can enjoy pleasant surprises along the route, while simultaneously gaining a quick and efficient overview of new products and brands.

The New Spaces concept: communication is key

The “New Spaces” within the Village and Freestyle halls are an important component of the novel concept. Located in the niches of the exhibition halls, these newly designed spaces are bookable in combination with a Village or Freestyle stand and offer a variety of options for meetings and customer activation. The spaces can be adapted to meet individual needs and can be expanded into a showroom.

The strategic goals of OutDoor 2025

The revised concept of the OutDoor 2025 trade fair has three goals: to increase the number of participating retailers by 20 per cent, to increase the number of exhibitors by 20 per cent and to reduce exhibitor costs by 20 per cent. Early bookers (until 31 December 2024) benefit from an attractive 20 per cent discount on the square-metre price in the Village Hall – an ideal opportunity for companies to plan their presence early and save costs. Participation options for OutDoor 2025 are now available online at the registration link.
