Alps, sustainability and sport - from understanding to change

The Alps and sport have an ambivalent relationship: the Alps are the perfect place to experience sport; from competitive sport to nature-intensive exercise for physical, mental and social well-being. At the same time, the large number of people and buildings as well as the ever-increasing traffic pose a major challenge for the Alpine region. In this panel discussion, individual aspects of this problem will be highlighted and potential solutions and project opportunities will be presented. These are the results of a future event that will take place immediately before the panel discussion as part of the 2nd ISPO JOMPvention. Participants will include representatives of the Alpine Climate Council of the Alpine Convention, the Bavarian State Ministry for the Environment and Consumer Protection and the German Alpine Association. The event will be moderated by Eckehard Fozzy Moritz, Director of Innovationsmanufaktur.
