At the sports fair ISPO in Munich, the textile courses of study of the Albstadt-Sigmaringen University of Applied Sciences will be presenting this year in hall C2 booth C2.20 together with the partners Gore, Zünd, Macpi and the German Institutes for Textile and Fiber Research (DITF) from 26. to 29. January, different approaches for the production of sports gloves up to the number of pieces of a single copy. Interested visitors can individually design their desired gloves there and have them manufactured directly at the fair.
"Events such as world and European championships or the Olympic Games are good examples of the fact that it is almost impossible to predict customer demand", says Prof. Dr. Christian Kaiser, „In our fast-moving world, a fast production and supply chain is therefore required." Proven production principles would have to be put to the test: "To meet this requirement, digital technologies are becoming increasingly important in the areas of design and production."
Through cooperation with leading companies in the industry, the textile courses at Albstadt-Sigmaringen University are working intensively on so-called micro-factory concepts. These aim to seamlessly connect and automate every phase from design to production.

Nowadays the world we live in and work in is formed by globalization and the growing pace of climate change. We feel that during our activity we have a special mission to take both social and economic responsibility thereby we can contribute to the conception of sustainable development. In our presentation we will explain how heat applied accessories can be made of polymers which degrades in a biological way, helping the expansion of bio-based apparels which will have key importance in the future.
