Biography
Emily is the Director of People and Planet Impact at Burton, a global snowboard and outdoor gear company and a certified B Corporation. She leads a team that manages the environmental sustainability and social responsibility of Burton's products, supply chain, and operations - covering climate advocacy, decarbonization, circularity, chemicals management, and responsible sourcing. Prior to Burton, Emily had a career in foreign aid, managing U.S. government-funded economic growth projects in East Africa and designing corporate social responsibility investments for multinational corporations in emerging markets. Emily holds an MBA in Sustainable Innovation from the University of Vermont and a BA in International Development Economics from the George Washington University.
